Explore the Greater Caucus Mountains on a five days tour to Svaneti – the region of highest peaks in the Caucasus, that offers a wide range of outdoor activities not only in summer but also in winters. In our 3 days snowshoeing activity, guests can experience powder snow for more excitement and fun on the hills of the Greater Caucasus mountains. Magical colors of winter with unspoiled landscapes and snow-capped Caucasus mountains surround to create a special atmosphere for an unforgettable trip. We provide a fully guided snowshoeing tour in the surroundings of the village Tskhmori and Shkmeri to explore the tranquillity and serene beauty of winter hiking adventures through the untouched snow.

Tbilisi - Ateni valley - Racha (Tskhmori)
From Tbilisi, we’ll head towards to explore one of the most authentic Ateni valleys, visit VI century Atenis Sioni architectural monument and have lunch and wine tasting at Vacheishvilis Marani.
After lunch, we’ll drive to Racha via the newest road that takes us through the upper Imereti region special for its authentic villages and ethno-culture, partly through the vast forest to get to Tskhmori.
Dinner at the local family guesthouse with unique Rachvelian dishes where we stay for two overnights

Snowshoeing around the village and visiting the frozen waterfall
During the day we’ll explore the vast surrounding of the village together with the local guide, visit the frozen waterfall and enjoy the magnificent views of the greater caucasus peaks.

Snowshoeing around village Shkmeri
Early in the morning, we’ll head towards the village of Shkmeri by car, where we hike about 10km long loop around the community villages via the Shkmeri plateau chest to overlook the Rioni river valley and enjoy the surroundings.
After lunch, we’ll head back to Tbilisi.
